Greetings:
On behalf of our Board of
Directors, I would like to welcome you to the Selma Chapter of the
Society for Human Resource Management!
It is our mission to support and
advance the Human Resource profession. We are a network of Human
Resource professionals who share thoughts, ideas, and tools which
encourage our professional growth and development.
Since its chartering in 1997, SHRM
– Selma (chartered originally as the Selma-Dallas Personnel
Association), has strived to offer programs that have provided human
resources professionals in Selma and Dallas County with practical
and valuable information. Meetings, held on the third Wednesday of
each month, address topics that provide an abundance of information
in the human resources arena.
Thank you for your vote of
confidence in my leadership ability by electing me to this office.
As your 2007-2008 Chapter President I am ready, willing and
committed to strive to fulfill the purpose of our profession and
organization. I challenge each of you to meet your fullest
potential as leaders and future leaders to help this Chapter to
continue moving forward.
I would like to encourage your
participation in our monthly meetings and welcome your comments and
suggestions. This is your Chapter; your contributions
and feedback provide the road map to our ultimate success. Please
